Abstract:
Our research group has focused this study on the application of teaching methods where creativity plays a fundamental role, helping to increase our student’s potential in creativity.

In this analysis, we discuss some creative methods and techniques, orienting them towards an educational aspect where creativity acts as the main didactic method.

The main objective of this study is on the processes to develop and the evaluation of the results obtained, comparing them with the real motivation of our students. We try to see if the data obtained improve and if the student's acceptance level is good. We have also try to obtain a new approach to be exported to other subjects.

This study analyzes two groups of students from bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering during first and fourth course. The subjects selected present different content’s although technical design as a common thread.

We present the studies made from the application of various techniques of creativity to engineering teaching projects, showing and analyzing the results obtained. For this purpose, we made different project proposals, focusing this study on two: the design of a table clock and a home product which could choose between a coffee maker and a highchair. Finally, we performed a qualitative analysis of the data obtained.

The results obtained encourage us to continue in this line and continue applying these techniques with our students, especially in subjects where proposals at visual level have an important component.
