Abstract:
Blended learning is an approach that combines traditional face-to-face (F2F) learning and online web-based resources. It provides opportunities for accommodating students with different learning styles and engaging them with various interactive learning activities. This paper investigates if the use of blended learning is associated with higher student achievement in law modules. The aim of this paper is therefore to show the correlation between the utilisation of the online resources and/or the resources made available online to the students and their results. Moreover, this study aims to explore the link between completing the online assessments, which are compulsory assessments in the two law modules that form the basis of this paper, and the students' ultimate performance in the modules. Real data that depict out of class behaviours of students will be collected and analysed. Such data include time spent online, tools usage and quiz scores. The study will identify the critical factors that affect student performance in a blended learning environment.
