Abstract:
In today’s competitive world, demand for alternative methods for learning is increasing exponentially. Companies are trying to introduce new or redesign their existing educational models to meet the technology changes and preferences of their employees. The use of corporate electronic learning (e -earning) is on the rise as many companies have adopted e-learning for employee training. It is not necessary for businesses to employ an expensive technology for online training. One of the most economical avenues is through Learning Management Systems (LMS). These versatile applications enable companies to conduct a broad array of live events ranging from informal meetings or training sessions to virtual classroom programs attended by scores of participants. They can be implemented quickly to provide secure, high-impact multi-media sessions. Events can also be recorded and archived for future access. LMS are used as virtual corporate platforms to ensure that employees are knowledgeable with updated skills and information. With the use of LMS’s, companies can create and track individual training schedules. One of the biggest challenges faced by companies today is finding right LMS for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of e-learning education courses or training programs.
