Abstract:
The presented project aims at creating an innovative model for studying Bulgarian literary and documentary heritage. This model will create conditions for building sustainable policies for socialization of the rich literary and cultural heritage of southeastern Bulgaria. The model is based on developing a methodological approach to research and socialization of personal archives and libraries of the people of the region. For the implementation of planned activities it is necessary to combine the knowledge and work of various researchers, PhD students and young scientists. In the process of working together, they will accumulate experience, knowledge and good practices. The quality of the research depends primarily on human potential - highly qualified and motivated researchers. The presented project is developed in the context of the requirement for modern higher education, related to enhancing the qualification and skills of scientific personnel and the realization of joint programmes for scientific training and practice between academic and local communities.
The methodology that is used is based on a multidisciplinary scientific and educational set of tools, including the identification and protection of cultural sites of national and European importance. This in turn will result in improving the research potential of young scientists, PhD students and other BA and MA students involved in the project.
Planned results give an opportunity to ensure sustainable development and to expand the opportunities for overcoming the negative trends of reducing the inflow of young people into science, as well as to create incentives for keeping them in academic institutions after graduation with the aim of scientific careers. The wide range of target groups: representatives of educational and cultural institutions, research centres, local community, suggests expanding the public dialogue for preservation of the historical and ancestral heritage and for economic and social growth of the studied regions through the creation of innovative cultural product.
The vision for the future continuation of the research process is associated with the modernization of historical knowledge and the development of sustainable policies for integrated conservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as the establishment of lasting interest in young people to research.
The project team covers all stages of the research process. There are scientists with proven organizational experience, which is crucial for logistics performance. The participation of experienced professionals is a prerequisite to ensuring a scientifically fair attitude towards current research base and reporting the achievements, which are the basis for upgrading the fundamental research. They not only possess proven scientific production and are well-established professionals, but have acquired experience in field work with young scientists and students. Furthermore, young scientists, members of the team have also registered their interest in the issue, which is an essential motivation for their full participation. Working with the team of senior professionals will contribute to further their professional development and enhance their qualification and experience. Keywords:
