Abstract:
In today's world, there is a very rapid and effective transformation in information, communication and production technologies. With the impact of technological developments and digitalization in many areas, especially in business and social life; all processes, structures and systems are being updated. With the intensive introduction of digital technology into the business and social lives of individuals, digitalization transformation is experienced more intensively in all business processes.

The rapid development of information technologies in recent years and the expansion and widespread use of these technologies have a serious impact on our lives. As a result of this change, there have been radical changes in education and accordingly, distance education has also been affected by educational methods. However, the use of information technologies in educational activities has increased day by day and has become widespread all over the world. All these changes have led academics, as well as all stakeholders in society, to adapt to technology. It is important for academics to develop their digital literacy skills and keep up with the changes in their job descriptions and duties in order to meet social needs in these fields.

Academics' positive attitudes and opinions towards digital technologies are reflected in the increase of educational practices adapted to new technologies and the quality of education increases. Mobile technologies support individual and collaborative learning thanks to their rapidly developing applications and easy network access, giving individuals the opportunity to research, share and access information at any time. The use of new technologies and software in education creates new learning opportunities for students and teachers. This increases the importance of individuals being open to and accepting new technologies.

Another situation that will gain much more importance in the future than today is that academics who are able to use technology products will have a great advantage over, and will be much more successful than, those who are not.

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of attitudes towards digital technology on job performance for 615 academicians working at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, with the help of regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, a significant positive relationship of 61.3% was determined between attitude towards digital technology and job performance. Thus, the importance of digitalization in education was revealed and its positive impact on job performance was demonstrated.
