THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SEWING E-LEARNING WEBSITES TO ENRICH THE PERFORMANCE OF HOME ECONOMICS STUDENTS

Abstract:
The future education system is no longer looked at as if the student is a container of information as it was in the near past, but the education became one of the motion tools and change and acquisition of different attitudes and skills which enable people to develop effectively.
As a result of this development in communication technology and the prevalence digital service high speed (DSL), it changed the traditional way of the electronic learning to transform to more dynamical environment.
And since the students are the highest population in the society of the university , and they are the most active in using the internet , and they are the most willing for change and educating them is the main goal for the learning institution and there fore it was necessary in this study to know the effect the educational sites and forums that is available on the internet which broadcasts training courses or steps with images in the field of sewing and embroidery on the student's attitude about this kind of the web technologies which helps it's users to find many opportunities to use this technology in improving the process of learning.
Based on the above, this study aimed mainly to identify the role of the e-learning websites and forums in the field of sewing on the skills of home economics students specialized on clothing and textiles. Using the questionnaire, the researcher interviewed students who are studying practical educational methods of traditional sewing to identify their knowledge on the use of computers in the e-learning process and to identify the impact of these websites on the students’ skills in the field of sewing using measurement before and after to compare the knowledge and performance of students before and after the e-learning process, as well as the time spent in both of the two methods, where the research results showed the positive impact of e-learning websites in the field of sewing on the level of student performance.
