Abstract:
In the following text, we present a didactic proposal of design and realization of a practical work, applied to the teaching of electric current. The purpose of this proposal is to get students to understand the meaning of some fundamental concepts of electricity. Measurements made using the "VISIR DEUSTO Remote Laboratory" will be verified with values obtained by performing calculations with pencil and paper. Education is a science that studies nature with the language of mathematics, as nature in its behavior is extraordinarily complex, physics uses simplified models to study real situations, and then assess in what concrete situations those models are true and when do not. The scientific and technical disciplines need practical experimentation, to reinforce concepts acquired in the theoretical classes. So far this experimentation is done in the presence laboratories, when the educational establishment has such laboratories. The lack of these laboratories or the scarce amount of elements (such as oscilloscopes) in a large part of the secondary schools leads us to look for an alternative for our students to make contact with everyday instruments for measurements in electric current. The search for these new alternatives and the growing use of the new Information and Communication Technologies (TIC), has led us to the use of remote laboratories. The activities in the remote laboratories are real experiments, carried out in the laboratory of a certain institution, which is accessed not only by the students of the same institution, but also by other academic units. The link is carried out remotely, through the Web, being able in certain cases to observe its development through a television camera also connected to the Internet, which allows the student to be located in the learning environment. Keywords:
