Abstract:
Successful implementation of e-learning is determined by a number of factors. These factors include the availability of technology, availability and recency of learning materials, methods of delivery, standard implementations of e-learning official service and to the management of the implementation of e-learning. These factors have been the focus of previous studies. In the field of information systems, support from organization management has been identified as one important success factor of successful implementation of those information systems. This paper presents the result of an empirical study of a number of success factors for the implementation of e-learning, in particular the management of the organization. The study utilized EMM (E-learning Maturity Model) framework. Metrics from the EMM were mapped into several corresponding variables. These variables were then measured using a survey. The survey involved 110 schools from the ICT EQEP (Information and Communication Technology Utilization for Educational Quality Enhancement Program) and was conducted in Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed using SmartPLS. It is a SEM- based varians (Structural Equation Modeling). The analysis showed that support from the organization's management was necessary for successful implementation of e-learning.
