Abstract:
Introduction:
Gastroschisis is a secondary congenital malformation to a defect of the closing of the abdominal wall, characterized by the herniation of the abdominal guts, little known and publicized to the health¹ professionals. The nurse is the closer professional to the newborn, rendering them integral and direct cares, however, sometimes they ignore how to render the care and to command their team to contribute to maintain the survival of these newborn ones. It is important that this professional is qualified transmitting trust and knowledge during the service. Scientific data on the gastroschisis incidence in Amazonas are not found now. During the assistance practice in the ICAM, high gastroschisis occurrence was observed, being this unit considered reference in the state for correction of this congenital anomaly.

Objective:
To verify the profile of admitted RN's with gastroschisis in 2012 in the ICAM, through the analysis of the handbooks and to originate a guide of nursing service for this public.

Methodology:
A retrospective study, exploratory and descriptive nature with quantitative approach. The sample was constituted by 39 handbooks. The collection of data among the months of July to September of 2013 using previously an elaborated form. The study obeys the Brazilian ethical recommendations. RESULTS: the social, demographic and clinical characterization of RN served as subsidy for the formulation of a specific guide of cares for this population. It was observed that the complications in the immediate postoperative were potentiated due the inadequate handling in the transfer of RN from the Maternity to ICAM. The main clinical problems were related to the control: of the vital signs, specifically of the corporal temperature, of hydroelectrolytic disturbances, incorrect mobilization and contention of the abdominal content.

Conclusion:
The results of this research found in the handbooks, together with the referential bibliographical theoretical studied served as subsidies for the creation of the manual of cares orientation for the nurses' team it is waited that this manual orientates the actions of the nursing team and, consequently, reduce the inherent complications to the disease and the death occurrence.
