Abstract:
Currently, a serious problem around the world opposite speech therapy education is the relatively low of specialized software versions in native language. Previous data based studies revealed the necessity to construct a complete beneficiary-centred scale to quantify perceptions related to the quality of information technology support. Thus, to classify the frequently used predictors’ factors of information technology (IT) quality in the context of new data processing solutions, a mixed-methods systematic review of more than 125 scientific articles of the last 10 years is provided. This study developed and validated an inclusive scale for measuring perceptions of IT assistance quality in speech therapy. The main objectives of the study are to learn more about the needs of direct and indirect beneficiaries for using computers in speech and language therapy and to investigate the current situation of IT assistance quality in speech therapy at national level. The results show that Satisfaction, Consistency, Responsiveness, Assurance, Understanding, Functionality, and Customization are the seven dimensions of product quality management that will contribute to study the users’ perception of the IT services quality. The answers will be used to make durable the IT solution for patients in Romania and to provide therapists the opportunity to treat patients as efficiently as possible. This study involved two main phases, which were the design of the initial study questionnaire and testing of the validity of the contents by experts. The beneficiary-centred scale evaluation revealed a rigorous content validity. This scale can assist as a general guide of quality levels in IT assistance in speech therapy and can be adapt for other similar purposes.
