Abstract:
SUMMARY
The visual media are crucial to sensitize and to inform the society about the importance of scientific knowledge. The initiative of Dr. Jesús García Soto to make the Exhibition “Scientific Image” inviting the Design Department was made in order to promote the link between science and art. In February of 2009, this project was considered because of its social impact and with different areas of knowledge that involves the University of Guanajuato. Hence the idea of what made with respect to science and that better than through the Graphic Design, where using some specific techniques could relate to the art, which are usually apart. That is why it was proposed an exhibition of Scientific Images that would be manipulated by the students and teachers of the Department of Design within the framework of the celebrations of the year of Astronomy and in the 200 years of the birth of Charles Darwin.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
Disclose the art of making science, through a photographic exhibition and its adjacent activities.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To publicize the scientific work developed in various departments of the University of Guanajuato.
Search the interrelationship between the different disciplines at the University of Guanajuato.Keywords:
