Abstract:

Knowledge pills are short time (10 to 15 minutes) lectures that relate useful and principal topics about engineering disciplines.

University of Vigo Information Technologies Area have developed a PUMUKIT (Publication Multimedia Kit) that permits the generation of knowledge pills from PowerPoint (or other) and a video recording of teacher on picture-in-picture style, catalogue and publication of metadata, compatible with ARCA project and other broadcasting technologies for learning contents.

In this article an example of these pills are described from its definition to the complete recording and edition including different steps of process production. The result pill is catalogued on uvigo.tv broadcasting system where can be downloaded for free. Once broadcasted by means of ARCA system, this pill will be available on the internet for any educational institution.
