Abstract:
Using digital technologies in a world of instant connectivity challenges universities to adapt to meet the learning needs of digital natives. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by universities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the concrete ways in which they have responded to the learning and social needs of digital native students. By systematically analyzing the literature investigating how universities have managed learning contexts during the pandemic, we aim to find out in which ways, digital natives students have benefited from educational and social services tailored to their profile. The review was conducted based on 20 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2022, selected through a multi-stage process. The results indicate that the existing literature provides models and resources for making learning more effective for digital natives from the perspective of teaching, counseling, psychological support, and fostering relationships and connections with university representatives.
