Abstract:
In Ecuador, the education system guarantees its quality through evaluation, among other aspects, paper-based assessment is commonly used. Definitively, this traditional type of evaluation could be replaced by technological tools appropriate to the digital-era that we are living, where new generations demand the use of new technologies. It is required to provoke paradigms shifts and improve education through the implementation of dynamic tools.

The new generation learning differently and its motivation is driven by information and communication technology (ICT). These resources are favorable to the transmission of knowledge as well as to the evaluation process. Nowadays, there are many personal learning environments and technological tools that may be used in education. Facebook is one of these tools which can be also used as a virtual classroom.

Even though all the advantages that Facebook offers, this social media site does not permit the direct access to the use of evaluation tools such as tests, question banks or case studies. These are available in other websites but when using them, users must leave the social media site.

This study aims to demonstrate that through an embedded tool in a Facebook group, evaluation can be allowed and consequently students will obtain effective feedback and increase the level of concentration regarding any topic.
