Abstract:
The podcast is one of the social media with more interactivity in recent years, currently, platforms that host content in audible format have chosen to implement within them the distribution of podcast as a means of entertainment, among this one of the most recognized worldwide as it is Spotify, already has its Spotify service for Podcasters, as well as Google that already has its tool which is called Google Podcast Manager, recently social networks like Facebook have added the function of sharing podcast within their pages, which allows a massification of content in this format throughout the internet.

The contents of Podcasts are very varied, you can find interviews of all kinds of information, but that does not provide any value, usually talk about sports, comedies, novels, share news, fashion, marketing; finding content that contributes to education is difficult, so in this article, this alternative will be investigated as a virtual medium where totally educational content is shared to help in the construction of different knowledge and as academic reinforcement towards the innovation of self-learning alternatives.

Some of the advantages of implementing podcasts for education are its easy access and management of the platforms where they can be found, repeating the information as many times as necessary, at any time, the adaptation to different devices, thus allowing the use of technological resources in a responsible manner and above all its free of charge, since the only thing that is needed is to be subscribed to these platforms to make use of them.

The dissemination of educational content through podcasts will be one of the great benefits of the current century, as well as audiovisual content found on YouTube, virtual libraries that provide audiobooks, and endless programs that help build knowledge in different formats, this project was designed for the large number of people who prefer to learn by listening and not reading or visualizing, it is possible to create spaces that provide educational functions in a fully audible format that enhance the contents beyond the theory.

The possible scenarios that are formed in these spaces when recording content are interviews between two or more people talking about a specific topic, also educational debates where each party shares their views creating new concepts or only one person where information is shared based on their knowledge and experiences.

With the purpose of validating that the podcast contributes specifically to the educational context, explanation sessions were carried out on the different pedagogical currents, on which several surveys were conducted to students of the University of Guayaquil, Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Educational Sciences, career Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences of Computer Science, in the second semester of the period 2021 - C1. Additionally, we measured the statistics of the platforms linked to the podcast, finding a significant number of subscribers and listeners.
