Abstract:
Ludic techniques are not only used to develop students' creative potential but also to generate other functions such as: interpretation of students' numerical abilities, develop thinking skills, link logical reasoning, among others. Therefore, we have carried out a research in an educational institution in Ecuador in order to get deep insights of the applications of ludic techniques. The focus of the following research inquires currently works on different technological applications in which it aims to promote learning in students through play techniques. Thus, the following research focuses on demonstrating insights on the application of social networks as a different approach of ludic technique. The social network used in this research was Instagram. Young people from 12 to 18 years old use Instagram, which usually serves to share photos and entertain them, Therefore, we decided to work based on Instagram approach to motivate and develop their learning in literature, thus motivating their creativity and encouraging them to search books by looking images that catches your attention. As stated in many educational contexts, "It is necessary to include new methods in the teaching-learning process, making it necessary to use recreational activities that promote cognitive development and meaningful learning". The methodology used was a survey of several students from public and private institutions in Guayaquil-Ecuador, in order to examine the creative potential of the students. For this purpose, a bibliographic study and a design of creative activities for Instagram was developed. The results of the research show that students who participated during the research process are more attracted to the introduction of a social network, such as Instagram, in their subject. Furthermore, another results show that with the inclusion of Instagram on academic activities, the students commit themselves more, ask questions and participate in playful games through social networks. In addition to this, this experience has given young people more commitment to a subject, by being on the expectation for what is shown within Instagram.
