Abstract:
In light of the rapid changes taking place in the world which have made it incumbent on all countries of the world to engage in competitions at domestic, regional and global levels calling to act upon a standard that led to the emergence of the term: quality, which many countries of the world today give special attention and have worked to apply it in several fields. It emphasizes the pressing need to carry out assessment and review on the outputs of education and to establish an Arabian Association for surveillance and a regional research program exclusively meant for quality education.
In light of this evident concentration on the issue of quality and academic accreditation which has become a global trend, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been very dedicated to implementing it in its institutions of higher education with a view to develop it and reform its outputs. Hence, it is natural that the issue of performance evaluation and quality assurance preoccupies all institutions of higher education in the Kingdom. The College of Arts and Humanities of the University of Taibah in Yanbu is one of the university institutions that are keen on achieving quality in all elements of the educational process in order to actualize the slogan of the University it belongs to and which is represented in form of rapid achievement and quality performance. Since quality assurance and development unit has been established in the college, it was a necessity to identify the scope at which quality and accreditation requirements are available in this college and the difficulties that may impede its implementation. This is why the research problem and inquiries can be defined as follows:

1. What are the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation in light of the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?
2. What is the reality of the College of Science and Arts in Yanbu in light of the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation?
3. What obstacles are likely to obstruct the implementation of the regulation of quality assurance and accreditation in the college?
4. What is the proposed vision for the application of quality assurance and accreditation in the college?

Research methodology and steps:
The nature of a problem is what determines how to address it and the research methods to be used. Hence, the research problem herein could be treated by using the descriptive analytic approach. Moreover, a questionnaire was applied on the college teaching staff to identify the reality of the availability of the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation in the special perspectives of the research adopting the following steps:

1. Presentation and analysis of a set of previous Arabic and foreign studies to identify the concepts and problems they treated and the scope at which the study at hand takes advantage of them.
2. Survey and analysis of the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation in light of the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3. Unveiling the reality of the college of Science and Arts in Yanbu in light of the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation and the most significant obstacles that are likely to obstruct its implementation in the college.
