Abstract:
International collaborations are now closer to each student due to specific programs specially made for the ones who could not afford or were afraid of experiencing student exchange mobilities in person. VIC, Virtual International Collaboration, created for teachers and students from diverse countries/ continents, aims to guide international partners in the development of a joint syllabus for one course and its implementation to a regular class. The methodology used during this project was particularly designed for our students to face different challenges by using communication skills, teamwork, creativeness and so on. As compared to previous years, the results obtained after implementing VIC to our regular classes were above expectations. The final projects reflected good knowledge, high collaboration skills, motivation, competitiveness. The main purpose of this article is to highlight the different aspects and results observed in the VIC project, comparing the situation before the pandemic with the current one. The study was applied on students from the same faculty (Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, specialization Furniture and Interior Design, Polytechnic University of Timisoara), in different subjects, but using the same intervention system, typical to VIC.
