Abstract:
This research article explores the potential of implementing ChatGPT, an advanced language model, into the study techniques of students preparing for programming and programming contests. The researchers use an open-ended survey method to get detailed information about the experiences and perceptions of students who use ChatGPT as an additional learning aid. The study commences with an informative overview of the difficulties encountered by students in their preparation for programming competitions, highlighting the increasing significance of inventive methodologies in education and the enhancement of abilities. The researchers subsequently present ChatGPT's proficiency in producing logical responses in natural language, offering contextual understanding, and emulating dynamic conversational exchanges. The survey seeks to analyse students' perspectives on the influence of ChatGPT on their programming proficiency. The study employs open-ended inquiries to investigate the ways in which students use ChatGPT, including code explanation, debugging aids, and conceptual illumination.
