Abstract:
The Institute of francophone entrepreneurship located at the university of Mauritius is hosting a virtual incubator since 2008. Students from around the world, from the francophone zone in particular, are attending online courses in entrepreneurship. The past five years experience acquired in distance learning in the field of entrepreneurship is innovative academic wise. The professional field is evolving toward more digital information in strategic management. Students are interconnected with the Institute's worldwide network and interacting in business projects with more collaborative aims. The evolution of the learning tools, technology wise, is contributing directly to the performance of distance learning and there related benefit into the new enterprises. Virtual incubators can lead to real profit in the new digital era. Beyond the academic scopes the interaction between institutions at the planet scale brings a new dimension to e-learning with emerging global interest and values.
