Abstract:
There is a strong reform movement in different parts of the world to promote schools as learning organization or communities such that they can learn to be adaptive and effective in facing up the various challenges from the fast changing educational environment in this new era of globalization and transformation. Inevitably, how education should be responsive to the trends and challenges of globalization has become a major concern in these years.
According researchs, building up a networked human & IT environment can facilitate not only individual learning but also development of learning communities & sharing of knowledge and wisdom fostered in the processes of action & values. In other words, through this networked environment, the individual knowledge & values gained by individual & school in globalized education can be disseminated, shared, further validated, refined and consolidated to be the local knowledge & values and human development in the local community. Effective individual learning occur in such a networked human & IT environment that can facilitate a higher level of intelligence and motivation of learners and provide the necessary social networks and foster, validate, accumulate and disseminate the various types of individual knowledge & values.
Then, teaching & learning methods require frameworks and ways of thinking and knowledge management is as a systematic method for managing individual, group and organizational knowledge using the appropriate means and technology, managed people, what they know, their social interactions in performing tasks, their decision making, the way information flows and the enterprise’s work culture.
This study is a description of teachers approach about applying knowledge management principles in teaching and learning models for promoting students’ achievement.Teaching & learning models that are used in scenario of teaching by emphasizing knowledge management processes encountered in school settings. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the way that teaching and learning considering the knowledge management principles. This is a new approach and is used as a supplementary to the already existing models of teaching and learning, having instructional and nurturing effects in mind. There are models of teaching such as role playing, jurisprudential inquiry, participative and personal models that have been used eclectically to enhance these effects. The researchers made questionnaire was used for gathering data from teachers. The results of this semi-experimental research with two control and experimental groups using pre and post test, SPSS and Java soft-ware demonstrate significant t value and size effect regarding academic achievement. This research describes teachers approach about using knowledge management principles to teaching and learning methods. Also these findings could be secured through further studies that confirm the high achievement of students and synergetic effects. At last, in this research suggest that to resolved the problems in higher education setting, apply the knowledge management principles to teaching and learning methods.
