Abstract:
Universities are operating in an environment characterized with high dynamics and uncertainity – such ambiance is requiring new solutions in the area of management. Odds of a successful outcome in this struggle are higher if an educational facility is able to cope with perquisite of various groups of interest and anticipation of market. One of solutions proposed in literature, specialized in enchantment of organization management, is modern portfolio method applied for strategic management. According to authors, this method may be adapted to the specific of university management. The paper present a concept of McKinsley’s matrix readjustment applicable for faculties at an university. Model of the matrix together with advantages and drawbacks of its application is induced. Displacement of faculties in the matrix is done with respect to factors of competitiveness and attractiveness. Exemplary criteria for assessment of the factors is included in the paper. Keywords:
