Abstract:
During the academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21, there was a significant qualitative and quantitative advancement in the utilization of online teaching tools and new technologies in education. Following the return to normalcy after those tumultuous years, during which online teaching, including both theoretical and practical classes, as well as evaluations, became imperative and mandatory, a legacy of resources, both software and hardware, was left behind. Additionally, both teachers and students acquired competencies for their proper handling. In this study, from a university perspective, we aim to examine the impact of that period on the present, identifying what aspects have persisted and what has faded away. We will analyze these issues from the viewpoint of both the teaching staff and the students, considering aspects such as class delivery, evaluation methods, tutoring, as well as the materials generated (such as self-learning tools like videos or interactive software, evaluation and self-assessment instruments, infrastructures, among others), their continuity over time, their usage, and their usefulness in current education.
