Abstract:
The sudden onset and the fast spread of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic have forced many Universities to adapt to a new scenario of on-line teaching and evaluation at a fast pace, in order to provide students and lecturers with the necessary tools to continue the learning process from home.

In this situation of public health emergency, one of the key points for both lecturers and students is to implement an evaluation system that will allow for a fair, safe and accessible evaluation of the students’ progress. Ideally, this evaluation system should provide students with an “easy-to-use”, “easy-to-access” platform that should guarantee personal data privacy and a fair assessment of their skills, while preventing misconducts and cheating.

After one year of working in a SARS-CoV2 pandemic scenario, we have performed a SWOT (Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats) analysis of the on-line evaluation tools available to the educational community at University of Granada, including both open platforms, such as Google Meet, Socrative, Quizizz or Kahoot, and a user-restricted platform, such as the Moodle-based LMS platform PRADO (Plataforma de Recursos de Apoyo a la Docencia; Teaching Support Resource Platform).

Our aim is to provide a critical evaluation of these tools, which will help in the decision making process for choosing the evaluation method best suited for our educational purposes.
