Abstract:

The Professional Master in Automation and Remote Control for Management in Irrigation Systems is an own degree of the Miguel Hernández University (Spain), collaborating with teachers from other Spainsh Universities and Research Centres. This Master consists of 60 obligatory credits. It is an on-line Master. Subjects of the Master are varied and follow a defined subject matter. Firstly, a description of the more important automatisms in the irrigation systems is developed. Subsequently the basis and several applications of automation and remote control in irrigation systems are studied (hardware and software). Finally, the last part is about the use of elements of automation and remote control in the management and use of irrigation systems (remote sensing, water and energy management). Aditionally, the planning and valoration of automation and remote control in irrigation systems is developed. The objective of this communication is the presentation of the experience of this on-line master along the course 2009-2010.
