ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF THE EMINUS PLATFORM BETWEEN THE STUDENTS OF THE BACHELOR IN ACCOUNTING OF THE UNIVERSIDAD VERACRUZANA IN VERACRUZ, MEXICO

Abstract:
Currently, the use of platforms that facilitate education in universities is an indispensable factor in the teaching-learning process, making available to students Educational Courses and Educational Experiences at Distance. These platforms facilitate the teacher-student communication and develops the transmission of knowledge and students´ skills in new technologies. These technologies promote the paths of interaction, so that the students develop their personal skills on their own. Nowadays, it is crucial that the universities manage to combine development actions and platforms of communication with its students. At this moment, the Universidad Veracruzana uses its "DISTRIBUTED EDUCATION SYSTEM", called EMINUS. This system of administration of flexible learning environments, allows to show and distribute educational contents, offering the possibility of having a "Digital Campus" for communication and collaboration without limit of time and distance. Through these flexible environments, the teaching-learning, communication and collaboration processes, are facilitated for the integral formation of students through the use of information and communication technologies.
Objective
The objective of the present study is to analyze the perception of the students of the Faculty of Accounting of the Universidad Veracruzana in Veracruz, on the use of the "EMINUS” platform in relation to the way it supports the learning process and facilitates communication with the Academics.
Development
A quantitative methodology was used, which allowed the analysis of the results obtained from a survey applied to students of the Faculty of Accounting in Veracruz. The results are mainly based on the opinion of these students on how they perceive that the use of the EMINUS platform supports their teaching-learning process, facilitates communication with academics during the period of the Educational Experience and promotes the use of Technologies for the development of their skills.
Conclusion
The results of this work are satisfactory as it is observed that for the students of the Bachelor in Accounting in the Universidad Veracruzana in Veracruz, the use of the EMINUS Platform offers them an adequate means of communication and provides all those materials that are important for the Teaching-Learning process, such as Courses, Online Activities, Forums, Virtual Classrooms, Message Centers, Collaboration, Multimedia Resources and Help; through these tools, the information about the Educational Experience is shared (in a flexible way of time and space) and it also allows feedback of the information, it helps the development of skills through extra-class activities and allows a flexible evaluation with clear criteria, giving evidence of this evaluation during the period.
