Abstract:
This research work details the experience of the combined use of Canvas and Blackboard Learn platforms, in the Teaching Innovation module of the Master's Degree in Teacher Training at the European University of Valencia. A group of 76 students participated in this study. Professors are very important people, with very significant and transformative work. Canvas does not change this fact, but makes this work easier and more easily shared. Canvas was created to make teaching and learning easier for all students, as is the case with this university-level research. It was used as a learning tool that encouraged teacher innovation and student participation. It also enhanced students towards success through an e-learning management system (LMS). On the other hand, Blackboard Learn presented digital learning solutions to boost academic effectiveness and student engagement, as well as to enable continuous improvement through education information, with the objective of increasing student motivation, greater academic effectiveness, and educational intelligence. Blackboard as e-learning management system (LMS) offered a scalable, integrated platform that simplified integration across existing systems, driving excellence throughout the academic life of the university student.

Consequently, the main objectives of this study were, on the one hand, to analyse the effects of the e-learning management system (LMS) used in the learning process of the students and, on the other hand, to motivate students during the classes, among others. The results obtained have been satisfactory for both the university students and the professor, since it has allowed improving the academic results and making the students more constant in the follow-up of the subject, so the combination of both platforms in this study has meant a high degree of innovation, as well as a success of follow-up and motivation on the part of the university students of 90%.
