Abstract:
The paper analyzes the applicability of the wonder.me virtual space for Czech higher education in the time of Covid-19. The wonder.me enables students and teacher to naturally meet, discuss, teach and learn, socialize, cooperate on research projects, run virtual mobilities and other academic activities, in pairs or large groups synchronistically (West, Jones 2007, Jacques, Ouahabi, Lequeu 2021). In this study we focus on the learning approaches of emerging didactics and pedagogies (Gros 2016, Correia 2020). The study intends to prove that online academic socializing in Czech higher education through wonder.me adequately substitutes the real life conversations and meetings which have been restricted due to obligatory Covid-19 distant education (Kitishat, Al Omar, Al Momani 2020, Iglesias-Pradas, Hernández-García, Chaparro-Peláez,Prieto 2021). We offer insights into the usability of wonder.me in foreign language speaking skills, debates and discussions across university classrooms, cross-curricular teaching, project and research development, internationalization and virtual mobility.
