Abstract:
Globalization in education due to technological advancement and changes in means of communication preconditions the development of electronic education (e-learning), which is necessary to improve the efficiency of learning process.
Mathematical education which have shown a tendency to decline in response to “information explosion” need to be improved. According to experts, nowadays knowledge volume growth is exponential. The problem of exponential knowledge growth can be solved by an efficient use of information resources and observance of personality and society potential opportunities along with their values and traditions.
Note that the decrease of education quality is sometimes caused not only by information overload and low rates of knowledge acquisition, but also by methods of teaching. The development of science involves not only achieving new results, but also promotion and simplification of already known conclusions. The main task is to simplify understanding of classical heritage – basics of the advanced mathematics. It may happen that in the future, the advanced mathematics will be studied together with alphabet–pedagogics and methods of teaching will greatly develop in several decades.
Except for the simplification of classical conclusions, there is another way out of the current critical situation. It is possible to use those new instruments, which along with the above-mentioned problems were created by information society itself. Firstly, they are technologies of e-learning. With the development of electronic curriculum educational institutions faced the issue of e-learning influence on the organization of teaching process, technical skills of a teacher and students. Here, there is a need in complex approach i.e. increase in productivity and quality of teachers and students activity on the basis of sensible combination of theory and practice of traditional and innovative education during the teaching and learning process organization.
Organization of teaching and learning process includes both traditional scheme and “systemic use of new computer technologies”.
A way out of the current critical situation is understanding of the classical heritage – basics of the advanced mathematics, evolvement of teaching techniques and pedagogics as well as the use of e-learning technologies. Such technologies today allow to increase knowledge acquisition by 10-15%, save up to 35-45% of student’s learning time, optimize the teaching load of faculty up to 30%, reconcile educational resources and psychophysical peculiarities of generation “Z” and, consequently, improve the quality of staff training.
E-learning is rapidly developing all over the world. It is actively integrated into conventional system of education and is already considered to be an essential element of leading higher education institution. Consumers of educational services prefer to study at such institutions. That is why it is necessary to keep up with the times and implement e-learning, use its advantages and assess possible risks.
