Abstract:
In this paper, we analyze the results of an innovation project focused on the Acquisition of generic skills through collaborative work in Applied Statistics in Social Work. This experience is evaluated from the results of a Learning Agreement that contains methodologies of work, distribution of responsibilities and homework and fixes general and specific objectives. First, the teaching staff selected a subset of the capabilities and skills included in the project 'Tuning Educational Competences in Europe 2003’, that our students should acquire during the experience for example, capacity for analysis and synthesis, solving problems, teamwork or social abilities. Second, final traditional exams were replaced with continuous and global evaluation techniques to evaluate the work developed. Finally, we analyze marks obtained and results from an opinion poll among the students, in which we asked the importance and level acquired for all the capabilities considered and what usefulness and opinion they deserve.
