Abstract:
In order to enhance teaching result on the college statistics course, we introduce a three-dimensional teaching style based on the reformation and expansion of four education facets, teaching period, teaching space, teaching methods and teaching content. We also redesign the teaching resources, teaching guidance and teaching practice in the three-dimensional teaching frame correlated with the statistics course characteristics. Under the three-dimensional teaching process, teachers should give college students guidance through the internet remote educational technology. They need not only an experienced teaching capability and computer technology, but also a new concept of the teacher’s role which is different from tradition. Statistical education with the three-dimensional teaching style can stimulate students’ interest in probability and statistics knowledge learning, and it can also lead a deep insight statistical thinking to improve practice ability of handle random problems. Finally the newly teaching style helps to build a strongly theoretical background and technical preparations in the future study.
