Abstract:
Currently online learning Web system design is one of the hot points of educational technology, many international universities and educational institutions have developed their own online Web learning systems whose have been a dramatic role in distance education.

Stochastic processes is a statistical discipline which focus on state change with time and analysis random phenomena with dynamic models. Stochastic processes curriculum introduce to undergraduate students the basic theory of random processes. It also includes some important random process models with their application background, such as Poisson update process, discrete and continuous-time Markov chain, stationary processes and Brownian motion.

The aim of this project is to develop a learner-centered, actual needs satisfied, ranking system rational, function modules complete online learning platform and online education resource library system based on the background of undergraduate stochastic processes course. This Web assistant education system includes learning tool module, online Q & A module, learning resources, collaborative communication module, management system module, maintenance support module and learning evaluation module. The learning evaluation module is the most important part to show the general performance of student, and we design the evaluation indicator system with special weight. This course assistant system maximize the effective use of e-learning platform for all resources, offer guiding services for students and improve student interest in course learning, all of those will reduce the difficulties of stochastic processes study and improve the teaching and learning effectiveness.
