Abstract:
People demands more professionals committed with an equitable and sustainable development of their country. University professors are facing with the "crisis of values" and seek to ensure a solid moral formation among their students. Ethics education should not be regarded as just a "desirable complement" to professional training, but it should be considered as a central axis of the new professional. The aim of the present work is to create an Iberoamerican network of scientific cooperation in ethical competences. This network would serve as a tool to exchange knowledge and experiences between members of different universities.

The steps for creating this network would be:
I) contextualize the teaching profession in the ethical dimension of training new professionals, in response to the new social demands concerning ethics;
ii) Identification and analysis of both general and specific ethical competencies of each discipline in which new professionals should be trained;
iii) design, implement and evaluate possible ways to make viable the consolidation of this project.
iv) the development of the evaluation methodology;
v) the evaluation of the project.
