Abstract:
The European Higher Education Area establishes a change of methodological approach towards a competency-based learning model. Thus, it is necessary to design and study innovative teaching-learning methods, which can have their reference framework in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), betting on innovation in teaching methodology. In this sense, the European Union conceives Higher Education as a scenario in which the main contributors have modified their traditional roles to represent a more avant-garde performance, which places emphasis on the digitization of content and dissemination through the Internet. With respect to ICTs, the use of blogs is very useful in the educational field due to its simplicity, convenience and ease of use. In addition, university education must be complemented throughout the professional year with the advances that are taking place in scientific research. However, during their training, university students typically consult a few reference works, and even fewer scientific publications. This situation, together with the fact that many women are undervalued by society in the scientific field, we think it is a priority to make the work of women scientists visible in our country. For all the above, we propose, for the academic year 2018-2019, an activity in which the students of different subjects of the Degree in Pharmacy, Degree in Optics and Optometry and Occupational Therapy of Complutense University of Madrid (Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition, Physical Chemistry…), deepen the topics addressed in class. In this sense, they will have to find a Female Spanish scientist of recognized relevance who works on something related to the chosen topic and make a personal interview (face-to-face, telephone, videoconference or email), and thus be able to deepen, resolve doubts and to give a perspective current to how the subject is treated. In addition, each teacher will create a blog of the subject that he/she is responsible, in which the students will add the interviews carried out in order to be able to share this information with the rest of the classmates.
