Abstract:
The course "Conditioning, motivation and emotion" is part of the first year of the degree in Psychology. The design of methodology and teaching materials is very important as practical exercises can be complex and are essential both for understanding theory and higher levels of knowledge. Our aim, therefore, is the creation and implementation of a practice ebook showing the theory of the course from a practical, organised, and digitised perspective. The practical content is very important as it will help to consolidate the learning psychology processes and help to extrapolate what has been learned conceptually into clinical practice. The use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) makes it possible for them to learn different contents (videos, activities, games, etc) increases their motivation and allows them to guide their own learning process. Thus, we have created a multimodal and interactive E-book about practical conditioning, motivation, and emotion activities. The first time we implemented this material was academic year 2022-2023. Then, we applied the Questionnaire for Teaching Material Evaluation (González- Such et al., 2014) which is designed with the objective of assessing teaching material in educational innovation topic. This evaluation tool measures student satisfaction with the teaching materials of a course. In addition, we adapted the open-ended questions that make up this instrument to evaluate specific aspects of our ebook, in order to identify strengths and limitations before its next implementation. The results allowed us to find out the degree of satisfaction and motivation with the internship ebook, as well as to identify areas for improvement. This teaching innovation project was funded by the University of Almería (22_23_2_01C).
