Abstract:

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges facing our planet today and awareness and education on this issue are essential to promote collective action and mitigate negative impacts on the environment. The main objective of this study is to sensitize secondary school students from different places in Mexico City about climate change and its impact on the planet. The methodology used consists of holding interactive workshops and interviews that addressed different aspects of climate change. In addition to the workshops, a scientific theater play is performed, in which situations related to climate change and its consequences are represented. We also invited the parents of the students to participate in this initiative. As a result of these activities, it is observed that the public involved shows greater awareness and awareness of the importance of sustainable development and care for the environment. This work highlights the importance of raising awareness among secondary school students about environmental care and climate change.
