Abstract:
Nowadays, there are many teachers who are using the portfolio as a tool in the learning and assessment process. This new technique has come up recently in the university context under the educational framework of the European Space of Higher Education. Generally speaking, the portfolio can be considered as a methodological technique based on carrying out a series of projects and activities by students, which will allow teachers to supervise the student´s development in relation to knowledge, attitude and skills in a particular subject.

At the University of Jaén, new educational methods based on the use of new technologies (ICTs) and guidelines linked to the European Space of Higher Education are being developed within the Teaching Innovative Project called “The Use of Free Software in the Teaching Process in the University and Secondary Education”. This project has been developed with the participation of Secondary Education teachers and its main aim is to apply the developed techniques to their field of work. In this sense, the aim of this work is to spread the portfolio technique to the educational framework of Secondary Education. Specifically, we present a specific portfolio carried out for the subject of “Spanish Language and Literature in the third year of Secondary School”. This portfolio has been carried out under a university perspective, but adapting it properly to the corresponding educational level.
