Abstract:
The objective is to present a pedagogical model of digital empowerment of the elderly in Brazil. The prospect of a long life for a large part of the population represents new challenges in terms of technology, both for public policies and for individuals themselves. In this process, discussing permanent education during aging is essential to digitally empower the older public. Therefore, it is understood that it is necessary to build pedagogical models that allow the development of a critical, safe, emancipatory and authorial sense in the use of digital technologies. The pedagogical model is a set of assumptions that guide educators in their pedagogical practice, considering, for this, the constitution of gerontological and educational paradigms, Architecture and pedagogical strategies and, finally, the profile of the subjects involved. Thus, the present research has a qualitative approach of the interpretative type, of an applied nature, being exploratory in terms of objectives. The target audience for this proposal was 100 people aged 60 or over who participated in a distance learning course. The research instruments were a questionnaire and participant observation. The pedagogical model presented points to the need to include classes on the rights of people over 60 years old, as well as security and data privacy on the internet. elderly in Brazil and other countries.
