Abstract:
In contemporary society, reading and writing are skills that allow access to other competences. Those with low levels in these skills cannot successfully keep up with scientific and technological developments, falling behind in individual, social and professional levels.
Dyslexia is the most common designation used to refer to difficulties in reading and writing.
An e-learning platform is presented to provide tools for the diagnosis of dyslexia and also an effective training to solve the difficulties of the student.
Functionalities of the platform include:
• screening instruments that detect the main characteristics of dyslexia;
• specific exercises that can help to intervene in the dyslexia particularities. These should be properly classified according to their developing objective:
- perception and visual memory;
- perception and auditory memory;
- laterality and spatial orientation;
- reading-writing.
• evaluation of the utility and effectiveness of various resources;
• preparation of reports and statistics on the progress of the dyslexic.
