Abstract:
The new scenes of the knowledge society they bring with himself radicals changes in all the social structures and institutions, where the education, and particularly the undergraduate and graduate programs, is being severely questioned in all its aspects. In agreement with (Mella, 2003), we can conceive the knowledge society like a structure resultant of the effects and consequences caused from the processes of globalization. To each historical landmark of the society a certain educative system correspond (Durkheim, 1979). In this context and according to Ackoff, the innovation in all the educative system is mandatory (Ackoff, 1996). This paper presents the development of a curriculum for an undergraduate program in business management, based on learning by competences. Initially, it arguments into the necessity of continuous improving of curricula in Universities, followed by a short dissertation on the new paradigms in management education. Then the concept of learning by competences is introduced, a systematized model used for developing of a curriculum is presented and finally, details of the proposed curricula, didactical techniques and grading evaluation are presented along with the competences to be developed by the program.
