Abstract:
Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE I) is a marketplace for online learning which is launched in July 2021. It was formed by a consortium consisting of fourteen institutions, thirteen of them are universities and the other one is an association of faculty of economics. Currently ICE I offers 132 courses developed by members of the consortium. As ICE I has started to offer courses this semester, it needs to attract its users. ICE I needs to collect data on users’ experience interacting with the system and their experience in choosing and taking online courses. To do this, ICE I conducted research on Student Socio-emotional Experience in Online Learning. User experience research (UX Research) is research that is mostly done to capture the needs of users, so that the system designs can be improved that will provide maximum user experience. In this research, AttrakDiff questionnaire, that has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia, is used to collect data. This paper will focus on the factors that influence users in filling out the questionnaire. ICE I users are mostly students from consortium members. Most of them are already familiar with online learning and interacting with digital products or services. The consortium members are reputable higher education institutions and a professional association of faculty of economics. They all have already provided online learning to their students. From the study, it shows that the lowest valued experience is pragmatic quality (PQ), indicating that students do not find the ICE Institute system useful. Apart from that result, in general It can be concluded that the students’ pragmatic and socioemotional experience in interacting with the online courses at ICE Institute system is relatively been positive and meaningful.
