Abstract:
Undergraduate students at Mexican universities, as well as from the rest of the world, constantly apply digital technologies in their daily life and especially in their college life. This work arises in the context of qualitative research on the role of libraries in university education, from which the dimension "Practices and environments of ICT" was extracted. The objective of this paper is to share aspects concerning the practices and environments using digital technologies based the undergraduate student voice at Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de Mexico. Research method is based on the paradigm of grounded theory. Our data collection involved eight interviews and a focus group. The analysis involved identification of categories, open coding, and focused coding.

The documented practices of technological tools are related to:
1. Studying and learning habits.
2. Physical and virtual spaces offered by the University.
3. Class, teacher and evaluation methods.

Learning about ICT practices and environment will enable to implement teaching methods which will take advantage with the trends of digital technology that young people apply in their university life.
