Abstract:
Among others, the report named Perspectivas 2015 carried out by Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and Aulaplaneta indicated that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will be included in teaching learning process. This study analyzes the perspective about the XXI century Spanish classrooms in relation to the implementation of some technological devices, digital services and educational methodologies, and it also indicates that 70% of teachers believes that in a short term (2017-2018) will be used, prominently, technological tools (whiteboards, wireless networks, etc.) and educational digital services (blogs, wikis, digital environments, etc.). However, this future implementation of ICT in the classroom is here a paradox because, currently, there is no a specific subject on technologies in the initial teacher training of the Degree of Early Childhood Education in any of the four campuses of the Universidad de Castilla La-Mancha (Spain) in spite of involving competences considered in the verification report of that grade. This fact has contributed to the implementation of research-action process in order to know the acceptance of certain digital tools (Symbaloo, Padlet and Thinglink) as learning resources to support the teaching. It has been developed in the subject of Social and Culture Didactics for students in the Third Grade of the Degree of Early Childhood Education. This methodology, encouraged by technologies, has allowed arousing students’ curiosity promoting an efficient use of ICT and skill development to improve the acquisition of digital competences because learning materials with applications in the university environment of Moodle platform (forums, activities, etc.) were combined. After the experience, the results obtained by the SWOT analysis, carried out by the students, have shown a positive evaluation in relation to the use of these digital applications for the Degree of Early Childhood Education. Finally, it has been concluded that the use of New Technologies applied to Education becomes vital to contribute to the essential trinomial education-technology and development.
