Abstract:
We find ourselves in a society where teaching begins to have a meaning, where imagination becomes important and one tries to be creative. In spite of this, unfortunately, in most schools, teachers give their classes in a classic, methodical and boring way. All of this means that our students do not pay enough attention in class, and as a consequence we find ourselves with demotivated students. Therefore the final results do not come to be the ideals, the expected ones.
In this project, we try to emphasize the importance of creativity, of being creative in the classroom. As teachers, we have to be aware that there is not only one way of teaching, and that there is not only one type of student. Therefore, we must be prepared for any situation, and we must be able to teach the same lesson in different ways, in order to capture our students attention. If all of us were aware of the multiple ways of teaching and that all of them are valid, we would know how to choose the right one at the right time and education would change completely.
Animation takes on an important role in this project, as it tries to teach students to be creative in their learning, and with it, we get more motivated students and willing to learn. We use the Stop Motion technique because of its easy access in classrooms and its low cost, and because of its ability to capture the attention of our students. Whether they are the youngest, or the oldest. Without realizing it, we resort to this animation technique many times on the internet or youtube, to finish explaining a concept to our students. The image takes on movement, and that catches our students attention. Therefore, it is intended that students develop the imagination and learn by playing, learn to be creative. Keywords:
