Abstract:
The aim of the study is to analyze online learning in higher education as an innovative way of organizing the process of online learning using information technologies, the Internet, multimedia, audio, and video technology.

The objectives were to study the readiness of teachers and students of higher education to work in the conditions of digitalization of education and to identify the positive and negative aspects of online learning.

The research methods: interviewing students about teachers' readiness to work in the areas of digitalization of education, and the analysis of students' opinions about online learning, were applied. Also, the comparative analysis, which brings out the impact of information technologies on the student's assimilation of the studied material, and which highlights the positive and negative aspects of the introduction of information technologies in higher education was used.

The results of interviewing students showed that not all high school students are ready to replace traditional education with online learning. For example, although modern education tends to use online learning, lectures spoken by higher school teachers in an online form with the help of digital educational technologies are perceived as more difficult.
