Abstract:
Modern students, the children of the “digital generation”, are significantly different from their parents mentally and physically. According to official data from the World Health Organization, in the world there are gradually slowing down of the acceleration process, that is, when the next generation becomes physically stronger than their parents.

Features of the behavior model of modern students of higher education are caused not only by retraction processes in the physical development of young people, but also associated with changes in the axiological component of the behavior model which determines the identity of the individual. Students are people between the ages of 17 and 27, although there is no consensus on this issue and it is significantly influenced by the cultural and political factors, as well as existing educational systems of each country.

In Russia students were defined as a separate socio-psychological category in the 60s of the last century by the famous psychological school under the leadership of B.G. Ananiev. As a result, such qualities of the student’s personality as purposefulness, determination, perseverance, independence, initiative, self-control, increased interest in moral problems (meaning of life, duty, love, family, etc.) were highlighted. In the context of this study we understand the axiological component as meaning-forming on the basis of the student’s behavior, which is formed in the process of training. In our opinion, it is the values chosen by the student that guide and motivate their life and activities, as well as determine the nature and model of their behavior.

Based on the methods of analysis and synthesis, the views and results of the work of scientists in Russia and abroad (V.I. Blinov, K.A. Bollen, D.A. Leontiev, T.M. Reser, S.H. Schwarts, L. Sagiv, etc.) were studied in the aspect of determining the new formation in the axiological component of the behavior model of modern higher education students as representatives of the digital generation. In the model of modern students’ behavior, researchers will identify the following formations that affect the development of value orientations in young people: emotional coldness; emancipation and irresponsibility in the digital environment; social disadaptation in the real world.

As a result, we have made some suggestions in the organization of modern student’s training which should be applied by teachers of higher education:
1. Visibility (the main rule of J. Komensky’s didactics), that is, the presentation of information in visual form and in colors.
2. Speed of information presentation: high rate and reflection of results based on the use of a digital didactic unit.
3. The activity of the digital generation and its ability to multitask: it is necessary to use a certain pace in solving theoretical and practical problems with mandatory public encouragement and stimulation of successful students’ creativity.
