Abstract:
Continuous improvement of processes and management systems is an urgent task for any country, because competitiveness of enterprises depends on their effectiveness. A great role in this issue is the quality of management training in higher education institutions. In connection with this, it is urgent to search new ways, means and technologies for the training.

The purpose of the proposed technology is to develop an algorithm for the development of professional thinking of students of the master's degree in management. The methodological basis of the author's technology is the activity, system and competence approaches. Theoretical basis was chosen the theory of development of administrative decisions, cognitive and information-cybernetic theory of thinking, theory of activity and management theory.
The process of making managerial decisions consists of several stages, namely: understanding the problem, collecting information, analyzing information, finding solutions, selecting the optimal solution under specific conditions, developing an implementation mechanism, and implementing the decision. It is not difficult to notice that the first six stages are connected with the manager's thinking activity, that's why we propose our own way of developing professional thinking, which can be tactical, operational and strategic (primary, secondary and higher management) depending on the performance of duties. We assumed that tactical thinking is "cause-and-effect" thinking; operational thinking is "systemic" thinking; and strategic thinking is "conceptual" thinking. In addition, a number of stages in the decision-making process are connected with thinking activity, the level of its systemic nature depends on the complexity and formalization (programming) of the necessary decisions. Changes in the complexity and formalization of managerial decisions correspond to the official duties of managers at the appropriate hierarchical level. Further, we assumed that for a successful administrative career, a qualitative climb in professional thinking is necessary, which is represented in technology as a 4-step development. The basis for the development of thinking in the presented technology is various types of information analysis (comparison, structurization, identification of cause and effect, generalization, dismemberment, definition of external and internal links) and implementation on their basis of real administrative functions (forecasting, planning, making managerial decisions, building a system , strategy development). The article shows the schemes of each type of thinking, reflecting their essence and allowing working out all analyzes of information.

Approbation of the technology in South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk, Russia) allows us to state that more than 1/3 of students after two years of experimental work had a higher level of professional thinking compared to the students of the control group, that was trained by traditional methods.
