Abstract:
As the technology develops, new trends are introduced and employed in the process of teaching and learning. The flipped classroom approach is one of the most popular methods employed by practitioners nowadays. However, utilizing any new technology needs some investigations first to check whether it fits the target learner, teacher, and in general the situation or not. The researcher aimed to employ the flipped classroom in her teaching practices, therefore one of the researchers' classes was flipped for six sessions, two sessions per week as a practice round. After that, a questionnaire and interview were used to check participants' attitudes towards this approach. The results of the study indicated that participants have a relatively moderate attitude towards this method. Moreover, the results of the interviews revealed that this approach required the participants to put more effort into studying and learning. Furthermore, the participants claimed that interactions in the traditional classes were more beneficial than watching video-recorded lectures.
