Abstract:
Introduction:
Children and adolescents in conflict zones face numerous challenges that demand comprehensive support, including economic assistance, healthcare, psychosocial and emotional support, protection from violence, educational opportunities, social inclusion, and stability. Educational leaders play a critical role in helping at-risk children overcome these difficulties and find hope for the future. Effective conflict resolution tools and the establishment of stable routines are essential for ensuring the well-being and development of these children.
Theory of Constraints:
(TOC) is a systematic and holistic methodology for conflict resolution that provides a powerful toolkit in Conflict Resolution. Understanding the gravity of the situation is crucial for developing effective and targeted interventions by educational leaders.
Research Focus:
Our research explores: "How can TOC tools be adapted to enhance conflict resolution and well-being for children and adolescents at risk in Conflict Zones?" We focus on the role of the Evaporating Cloud (conflict resolution diagram) in addressing dilemmas faced by educational leaders. This includes how TOC can be integrated into existing conflict resolution programs to improve outcomes for children and adolescents at risk.
Intervention Program:
An intervention program for educational leadership was conducted among the Arab community in Israel, involving 180 MA students. The program aimed to impart conflict resolution tools based on the TOC aim to address crises during wartime, including educational, psychological, and family issues. The leaders acquired conflict resolution tools, and the data analysis method included qualitative analysis of conflicts to identify root causes and develop a generic model, to be presented at the conference.
Innovative Approaches and Impact:
The discussion will focus on the researcher's developed model of the "new normal", new routines to be adopted in conflict-affected areas following an in-depth analysis of the current situation using the TOC "conflict cloud" tool. The Evaporating Cloud plays a crucial role in addressing dilemmas faced by educational leaders in conflict zones. By exploring real-world scenarios where children's needs conflict with limited resources or competing priorities, we gain insights, overcome constraints enhances outcomes and stability using TOC principles.
Collaboration and Practical Guidelines:
Collaborating with practitioners and organizations working in conflict zones enables the development of practical guidelines for integrating TOC tools into existing leadership and intervention programs. Presenting our findings and models at the conference aims to provide educational leaders with innovative tools and strategies to significantly impact the lives of children in conflict-affected areas. This comprehensive approach not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term resilience and development for children at risk.
Conclusion:
Educational leaders equipped with TOC tools can play a transformative role in supporting children in conflict zones. Through systematic conflict resolution and the establishment of stable routines, we can ensure the well-being and development of these children. By sharing our research and models, we hope to inspire and empower educational leaders to create lasting change in the lives of children and adolescents at risk worldwide. Keywords:
