Abstract:
The use of new technologies by contemporary society has a strong influence on social relationship in the present moment, especially because of the changes it makes when referring to time and space. The changes resulting from the advance and innovation of information technology and communication have a direct impact on the use of information systems by humans, especially in the light of new ways to interact, collaborate and communicate. It works like a paradigm shift from Industrial Society to Information Society, which can be fit into new forms of he relationship advances in the form of a digital culture. From this perspective, the collaborative models and theories provide insight into how and why people interact in groups. In this context, communication systems called Computer Support Cooperative Work (CSCW) are used to support group activities in the dynamics of a Modern Society. So, by analyzing CSCW from an educational perspective, web popularization has influenced collaborative learning environments, enabling new forms of acquisition, sharing and dissemination of knowledge. From this perspective, this article aims to analyze the use and the impact of collaborative tools to education, mainly its relationship considering the resources applied to collaborative learning environments.
